Past tense কাকে বলে কত প্রকার ও কি কি উদাহরন সহ লিখ?

Past tense (অতীত কাল):
5. Past indefinite tense: অতীত কালের কোন কাজ বোঝাতে বা অতীতের কোন অভ্যাস বোঝাতে, যার ফল বিদ্যমান নেই এরূপ বোঝালে verb-এর past indefinite tense হয়।

Past Indefinite Tense is used to denote an action completed in the past or a past habit and result is not lasted.

বাংলায় চিনার উপায়:
বাংলায় ক্রিয়ার শেষে ল, লাম, ত, তাম, তে, তেন এদের যে কোন একটি যোগ থাকে। যেমন ( করেছিল, করিয়াছিল, করেছিলাম, করিয়াছিলাম, করেছিলে, করিয়া ছিলে, করেছিলেন, করিয়াছিলেন, পড়িল, পড়িলাম, পড়িলেন, পড়িত, পরিতেন)
Structure গঠন প্রণালি:

Subject + past form of main verb + object.

Example:- আমিভাতখাইয়াছিলাম/খেয়েছিলাম– I ate rice.
- আমিস্কুলেগিয়েছি/গিয়েছিলাম– I went to school.
- সেস্কুলেগিয়েছে/গিয়েছিল– He went to school.
- তুমি/ তোমরাকাজটিকরেছিলে/করিয়াছিলে- You did the work. 
- তারছেলেবেলালন্ডনকেটেছিল– He spent his boyhood in London. 
- লুনাএকটিগানগেয়েছিল– Luna sang a song. 
- সেফুটবলখেলেছিল– He played football.

Note - Past indefinite tense যুক্ত কোন sentence এ যদি main verb না থাকে তাহলে সেখানে be verb ই main verb হিসেবে ব্যাবহার হবে।

6. Past Continuous Tense:  অতীতকালে কোনো কাজ হচ্ছিলবা চলছিলএরূপ বোঝালেverb-এর past continuous tense হয়।

Past continuous tense is used when the action was continued for some time in the past.

বাংলায়চিনারউপায়:
বাংলায়ক্রিয়ারশেষেতেছিল, তেছিলাম, তেছিলে, তেছিলেন, চ্ছিল, চ্ছিলে, চ্ছিলেন, ছিল, ছিলাম, ছিলে, ছিলেন, এদেরযেকোনএকটিযোগথাকে।

Structure গঠন প্রণালি:

Subject + was/were + main verb + ing + object.

Example:- আমিভাতখাইতেছিলাম/খাচ্ছিলাম– I was eating rice.
- সেস্কুলেযাইতেছিল/যাচ্ছিল– He was going to school. 
- তারাফুটবলখেলিতেছিল/খেলছিল– They were playing football.
- গতকালসন্ধায়সেঢাকাযাইতেছিল– He was going to Dhaka last evening. 
- আমিএকাএকাগানগাইতেছিলাম– I was singing song alone.

Note - subject first person and third person singular number হলে was বসবে। we, you, they এবং অন্যান্য plural number এর শেষে were বসবে।

7.Past perfect tense: অতীত কালে সংঘটিত দুটি কাজের মধ্যে পূর্বে সংঘটিত কাজটির verb-এর past perfect tense হয় এবং পরে সংঘটিত কাজটির verb-এর past indefinite tense হয়।

অতীতকালেদুটিকাজসম্পন্নহয়েথাকলেতাদেরমধ্যে যেটিআগেঘটেছিলতাPast perfect tense হয় এবং যেটিপরেহয়েছিলতাsimple past tense হয়।

Past perfect tense is used in the former action between two completed actions of the past; simple past is used in the later action.

বাংলায়চিনারউপায়:
বাংলায়ক্রিয়ারশেষেকোননির্দিষ্টঅতীতঘটনারপূর্বে, ছিল, ছিলাম, ছিলে, ছিলেন, ল, লাম, লে, লেন, তাম, তে, তেনএদেরযেকোনএকটিযোগথাকে।

Structure:
1^st subject + had + verb এরpast participle + 2^nd subject + verb এরpast form +2^nd object.

Example:- আমিভাতখাওয়ারপূর্বেসেবাড়িআসল– He had come home before I ate rice.
- আমিস্কুলেযাওয়ারপূর্বেসেমারাগেল– He had died before I went to school.
- ঘণ্টাপড়ারপূর্বেতারাস্টেশনেপৌঁছল– They had reached the station before the bell rang.
- ডাক্তারআসিবারপূর্বেরোগীটিমারাগেল– The patient had died before the doctor came. 
- ডাক্তারআসিবারপরেরোগীটিমারাগেল– The doctor had come before the patient died.
- বিছানায়শুতেযাবারপূর্বেআমিদরজাটাবন্ধকরিলাম– I had shut the door before I got into bed.

8. Past perfect continuous tense: অতীতকালেকোনকাজকোনবিশেষসময়েরপূর্বেআরম্ভহয়েসেইসময়পর্যন্তচলছিলবোঝালেPast perfect continuous tense হয়। এখানেযদিদুটিক্রিয়াউল্লেখথাকেতাহলেযেকাজটিআগেচলছিলতাPast perfect continuous tense হয়।

Past Perfect Continuous Tense:

Past perfect continuous tense is used for an action that begun before a certain point in the past and continued up to that time.

বাংলায়চিনারউপায়:
বাংলায়ক্রিয়ারশেষেতেছিল, তেছিলে, তেছিলাম, তেছিলেন, চ্ছিল, চ্ছিলাম, চ্ছিলে, চ্ছিলেন, এদেরযেকোনএকটিউল্লেখথাকলেএবংঅতীতেরএকটিসময়উল্লেখথাকে।এক্ষেত্রেতিনটিবিষয়েরপ্রতিখেয়ালরাখতেহবে– 
ক) অতীতকালেদুটিকাজইহয়েছিল। 
খ) তাদেরমধ্যেএকটিপূর্বেএবংঅপরটিপরেসংগঠিতহয়েছিল। 
গ) যেটিপূর্বেসংগঠিতহয়েছিলসেটিদীর্ঘসময়ধরেচলিতেছিল। 

Structure:
1^st subject + had been + main verb + ing + 1^st object + 2^nd subject + verb এরpast form + 2^nd object.

Example:- সেযখনআসিলতখনআমিভাতখাইতেছিলাম– I had been eating rice when he came.
- ঘণ্টাপড়ারপূর্বেআমরাখেলিতেছিলাম– we were playing before the bell rang.
- আমিযখনতারসাথেদেখাকরতেগেলামতখনসেবইপরিতেছিল– He had been reading book when I went to met with him/her.
- তুমিযখনতোমারবন্ধুরবাড়িতেগিয়েছিলেতখনতোমারমাতোমারজন্যঅপেক্ষাকরিতেছিল– your mother had been waiting for you when you went to your friend’s home.
সেযখনখেলাদেখছিলতখনআমিঘুমিতেছিলাম– I had been sleeping when he saw the game.
