তোমার পেয়েছি। ইমেইলে তুমি আমাকে জানিয়েছেন যে তুমি ইংরেজিতে জেএসসি পরীক্ষায় ফেল করেছো। সংবাদটি শুনে আমি খুবই দুঃখিত। তুমি যে ইংরেজিতে এত দুর্বল তা আমি আগে জানতাম না। তুমি কি ইংরেজি পড় না? বর্তমানে ইংরেজি ছাড়া কিছুই সম্ভব না। আমার মনে হয় তুমি ইংরেজি শেখার গুরুত্ব জানো না। সেজন্য তুমি ইংরেজি শেখ না।আজ আমি তোমাকে ইংরেজি শেখার গুরুত্ব বলব। তুমি ইমেইলটি মনোযোগ সহকারে পড় এবং ইংরেজি শেখার গুরুত্ব শোন।  ইংরেজি একটি আন্তর্জাতিক ভাষা। বিশ্বের অধিকাংশ দেশে এই ভাষা ব্যবহার করা হয়। এইসব দেশের সরকারী ভাষা ইংরেজি। এছাড়া আন্তর্জাতিক ব্যবসা পরিচালনা ও যোগাযোগের ক্ষেত্রে ইংরেজি জানার কোন বিকল্প নেই। আজকাল, বহুজাতিক কোম্পানিগুলো চাকরির জন্য এমন লোক চায় যারা ইংরেজিতে পারদর্শী। শুধু তাই নয়, উচ্চশিক্ষার সব বই ইংরেজিতে লেখা। ইংরেজি না জানলে উচ্চশিক্ষা অর্জন করা সম্ভব নয়। তাছাড়া ভালো চাকরি পেতে হলে অবশ্যই ইংরেজি শিখতে হবে। এক কথায়, তুমি যদি ইংরেজি না জানো তাহলে তুমি কোথাও মানিয়ে নিতে পারবে না। ইংরেজি এত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ হওয়া সত্ত্বেও তুমি ইংরেজি শেখ না কেন? আমি আশা করি তুমি এখন থেকে বেশি বেশি ইংরেজি অধ্যয়ন করবে এবং পরবর্তী পরীক্ষায় ইংরেজিতে ভাল করবে।

আজ আর নয়। তোমার বাবা-মাকে আমার শুভেচ্ছা ও তোমার ছোট বোনটিকে আমার গভীর ভালবাসা জানাবে।
